Laurel Corona

Laurel Corona, a historical novelist and professor of humanities at San Diego City College, also wrote Until Our Last Breath: A Holocaust Story of Love and Partisan Resistance (St. Martin's Press 2008), for which she and researcher Michael Bart received a 2009 Christopher Medal. In Until Our Last Breath, she discusses Kovner and the resistance movement from the point of view of Bart's parents, members of the Vilna underground and Kovner's partisan unit, the Avengers, in the Rudnicki Forest.
